🚨 OCSD CCW UPDATE: Important Information for Current & Future CCW Holders 🚨

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has released important reminders and updates that could affect your CCW application or renewal.

✅ Before you leave class:
📝 Sign your training certificate.
🔍 Verify your firearm’s make, model, and serial number are correct.

⏳ Know Your Deadlines
• Renewals: Complete training after submitting your renewal application.
• Initial Applicants: Wait until you’ve met with your assigned OCSD processor before taking your training.

📢 New Updates
• AB 1948 has been signed into law. OCSD is reviewing the new legislation and will provide additional guidance as it becomes available.
• Non-Resident Applicants: California Live Scan is required.
• Renewal Applicants: Beginning September 1, 2026, a new Live Scan will be required for renewal applications.
